Terms of Use

Quraan Journey is an independent service for reading verified Qur’an text, keeping a private reading place, and navigating attributed sources. It is not a mosque, scholar, mufti, fatwa service, or replacement for qualified religious guidance.

By creating an account, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Notice. Accounts are available only to people aged 13 or older. If you do not agree, you may still use the public reader without an account, subject to these public-use rules.

Qur’an text is reproduced verbatim and must not be altered. Its attribution, version, licence, and integrity information are maintained in the Sources ledger. Provider-fetched context and reference locators remain attributed to the named provider. Supplemental records must keep their exact citations and validation history.

Quraan Journey uses Quran Foundation Content APIs subject to the Quran Foundation Developer Terms. It is independent from Quran Foundation, Quran.com, and QuranReflect. Availability of third-party content or services is not guaranteed.

Visitors and ordinary accounts cannot edit or publish Qur’an, hadith, tafsīr, historical narrative, rulings, or other religious claims. A private concern report can flag a possible problem for owner review but cannot insert material into the public religious feed. Community discussion, when available, is clearly separated from verified source material and may be moderated or removed.

You are responsible for accurate account information, a strong unique password, and activity under your session. Private reading sync begins only after separate explicit consent to store sensitive religious activity. You may withdraw that consent or delete an ordinary member account through My Journey.

The Source Guide is constrained to route users toward existing approved records. It is not permitted to author Qur’an, hadith, tafsīr, a religious verdict, or claims of revelation history. Automated output can be incomplete or mistaken and must never be treated as religious authority. Do not submit private data. Consult a qualified scholar for interpretation, rulings, disputes, or personal religious decisions.

Prayer timetables are calculation results whose method and local conventions may differ. The Qibla Finder provides a geometric true-north bearing and may use an optional device compass; phone sensors can be affected by calibration, cases, electronics, metal, and browser support. Confirm local congregation times and any uncertain direction with your mosque or a known Qibla marker. Step-by-step learning pages are educational summaries with named sources and do not replace qualified, local instruction.

You may use Quraan Journey for personal, lawful reading and source navigation. You may not attack or overload the service; bypass access controls; scrape in violation of source licences; upload malicious code; impersonate others; harass users; publish unsourced religious claims as verified material; or use the service to build advertising profiles, datasets, or machine-learning models from Quran Foundation content.

Third-party Qur’an text, source data, names, and marks remain subject to their respective rights and licences. Quraan Journey’s original interface, branding, and code are protected to the extent permitted by law. Source attribution must not be removed.

Religious-content concerns receive priority review, but no online service can promise uninterrupted or infallible operation. We may correct, pause, or remove material when provenance or integrity is uncertain. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties and Quraan Journey is not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

You may stop using the service at any time and ordinary members may delete their account in My Journey. We may restrict or close accounts that threaten security, source integrity, other users, or legal compliance. Owner and trust-team accounts require assisted closure or anonymisation so required source and moderation audit records remain accountable.

Material changes will be announced prominently before taking effect. Continued account use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms; where new consent is legally required, it will be requested separately. Applicable mandatory consumer and data-protection laws remain unaffected.

Questions, concerns, or legal notices may be submitted through the private contact form. Religious-content corrections must use the separate protected concern channel.
